Time: When Should I Have My Lights Installed?

If you are having landscape work done at your home, it is a good time to consider adding landscape lighting to your home too.  The big question is….what is the right time to have the lights installed?   Should it be done before, during, or after your landscape installation?

There is no wrong answer to the question however installing lighting before having major landscaping work done is not recommended.  When a new landscape is being installed, customers often are pressured from the landscape company to make a decision about lighting. They claim it is more affordable to do it while trenches are open to run the wire before the sod goes in. They reasoned that they will have to charge more to come back and install the lighting system later.
