Tariffs Price Increases are Coming Soon

If you have a lighting project in mind, the sooner you get started, the better pricing you can expect to have. The new tariffs will be effecting pricing of light fixtures, lamps, wire and almost everything that goes into our projects. Our cost of materials are expected to increase significantly and unfortunately we will be raising our prices to compensate for it.

At this point we are working through inventory that has already been shipped to the US or is partially manufactured in the U.S. We have however been informed of pending price increases from most of our suppliers. To avoid this price increase, now is the time to get on our schedule for 2019.

The Administration-imposed tariffs on products from China will increase the cost of many fixtures by as much as 25%. Many lighting fixtures and ceiling fans are manufactured wholly or in part in China. The lower labor and tool costs, and existing manufacturing infrastructure all result in lower products costs for the consumer. China is also a leader in LED technology, which has become the predominant energy source for lighting. However, the tariffs that are being imposed on imports from China will result in higher prices on lighting and ceiling fans.

After the New Year, we will need to re-bid any previous proposals of projects to accommodate our new pricing. We appreciate your business and look forward to working with you soon.
