Project Spotlight: Reflections

We wanted to share some pictures from a recent landscape lighting project.  This Boerne property is breathtaking beautiful and the addition of the landscape lighting made it even more stunning.

Ponds are beautiful during the day, with sunlight sparkling off the water but once the sun sets, they disappear.  Unless you light them and then they take on a completely different look.

Our favorite part of the property was this large pond and the trees that line the banks. This combination is perfect to bring out the best features of the pond and the trees with the right lighting! The landscape design was centered around highlighting the trees and creating a reflection in the pond.   The lighting is a mix of cool and warm lighting with uplighting and downlighting.

We installed the fixtures within the tree canopy to get the best shadowing effect.  The lights in the branches overhead mimic a natural moonlighting effect.  This creates intriguing shadows from branches and leaves onto the pond.   The homeowner can now enjoy his magnificent views of the trees and pond long after the sun goes down with the added bonus of seeing the reflections of the trees in the water.
