Today we are going to discuss the second key feature in Preserving the Night Sky series, Up lighting. Up lighting does show off the features of your home better than most applications.  However, done incorrectly this is one of the biggest contributors to light pollution. It is possible to create the dramatic shadow effects of skimming a textured stone house with an up light and still keep the light from passing beyond the eve of the home.
